Who is How to Make Something.

How to Make Something seeks to address issues of mental health and productivity by providing simple and accessible projects in order to encourage creativity. Created by artist and designer Jane Armstrong, we believe that trying new things is the key to making yourself feel good. We offer projects that prioritize accessibility based on self-generated concepts that stem from addressing issues of mental health.

How does making help me?

The proof is in the pudding. According to researchers of The Journal of Positive Psychology, engaging in everyday creative activity has been proven to stabilize mood and increase overall satisfaction with life. Our projects can be completed in as little as 15 minutes, and vary in skill level. These inquiries were designed to work through specific issues of mental health ranging from self-confidence to struggles with obsessive disorders and depression.
